The Great Veil
by Antonio J. Higgins (b. 2005)
Notes on the piece:
This piece was composed as the mid-term project for the “Electronic Music Production” class that I’m required to take as a B. M. in Composition at Cedarville University. The goal was a dystopian film-score inspired piece drawing elements from the Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack. To help us with the form and structure of the piece, each student was to write a story-prompt to go along with the music. Mine was based off of a futuristic New York City, separated from the rest of the continent and enslaved by tyrannical rulers.
Each sound/synth instrument was created by me in Logic Pro, using a synth program called Massive X.
